Supersport.com understands that Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah will hand debut callups to two players as they face China in an international friendly in Beijing on August 15. Manchester City’s Abdul Razak Nuhu, on loan in Norway and Italy-based Richmond Boakye-Yiadom will travel with the Stars to the Far East.
Andre Ayew also returns to the team for the first time since the African Cup, when he picked up a shoulder injury while representing his country. He had put off a required surgical procedure severally until he was forced to go under the knife on April 24.
Although expected to convalesce for three months, the attacking midfielder made an appearance in his club’s 2-0 friendly loss to Benfica, and he revealed that his recovery is well on track. Asamoah Gyan will make his first appearance for Ghana following his recent decision to return from ‘psychological retirement.’
New Juventus hotshot Richmond Boakye-Yiadom will also be called for his debut.
