Sarkodie Makes History, First Ghanaian To Win BET Award

Ghana Rapper Sarkodie arrived in LA on Friday in anticipation of attending the 2012 BET awards. He was nominated in the best international act category along with artists from nigeria, Kenya, etc. He met with media for interviews, mingled with other international acts like Ace hood before the show. He also appeared on the red carpet with the other nominees.

He made history on Sunday the 1st by becoming the first Ghanaian to win a BET award for best international act. He won along with nigeria’s own Wiz Kid. He beat other nominiees Ice Prince also representing Nigeria, Kenya’s Camp Mulla, Mali’s Mokobe and Lira from South Africa.
