John Mensah would have to wait until the end of the season to land a permanent Sunderland contract.
The Ghana captain is on loan at the Black Cats from French giants Lyon. Sunderland are facing a big decision over the injury-plagued Mensah, but he has turned the corner as he’s played six matches so far without any injury.
Mensah, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at the Stadium of Light, has been chasing a permanent deal with the English side. Sunderland coach says they will wait until the end of the season before a decision is made on Mensah’s future
“And then there is John Mensah. He has been unlucky with injuries but we’ll seewhere we are with him at the end of the season.”Mensah is the first choice defender for the club.
