Indian authories hold Nigerian for narcotics

 

The Indian Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested a Nigerian, simply identified as James, on charges of smuggling narcotic substances.

The 30-year-old Nigerian was arrested on Saturday when he went to the office of a courier firm at Edayankattuvalasu for the purpose of sending a parcel to Chennai.

Police said the NCB sleuths also seized a parcel containing four kilogrammes of Indian hemp worth several lakhs from him.

A district judicial magistrate court immediately remanded him to judicial custody for 15 days.
