Having Opinion In Ghana Now, Is Dangerous – Pastor Otabil

The General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Mensa Otabil has criticized the current political game which he says is alienating some of the best brains in the development of the country.

Pastor Mensa Otabil was speaking at the end of the Festival of Ideas, organized by Legacy and Legacy in Accra.  “This day it is become dangerous to have an opinion in Ghana because every opinion has to be tagged one way as NPP or NDC.

This is one of the most insane situations we have boxed ourselves in this country…can’t we just label an idea as a Ghanaian idea? And I think should, otherwise, sensible and reasonable people will just nurture their hopes privately instead of declaring them publicly.”  Pastor Mensa Otabil further maintained that: “Politics must not become the most driving component of our national life, I think so far politics has clouded out intelligence from our national life and we need to do something about it.”
