Customers of Airtel and MTN will soon have their connectivity problems resolved, according to a text message sent by the networks to subscribers.
GSM subscribers on the two platforms have been experiencing challenges connecting from one to another. In a text message sent to subscribers on Sunday, the operators said, “we are working to resolve a network failure due to a fibre cut in Lagos affecting both our customers. We apologise for any inconveniences”.
The Nigeria Communication Commission recently fined GSM operators in the country for poor services.
Efforts to reach both service providers to ascertain exactly when normal service would be resumed proved abortive.
